Shadow Aspect started out in January 2001 under the name Down to None, with bassist Robb Webb (Six Stage Suicide, In the mind of Henry Holmes). After about 9 months drummer Aaron Phillips fled England for a life in Wales, then returning some 2 years later. The band decided to reform but with a new bassist, Lionel Percy, and with a new name and sound. So, in late January 2004 Shadow Aspect formed, with the intention of producing more Groove orientated thrash metal. 2006 saw Shadow Aspect in Total Guitar (Myspace band of the month Sept'06 and vocals on "Time to Suffer" for the Dimebag Krank amp review). After playing a gig in Bath for Future Publications, Shadow Aspect landed a half page interview in Rhythm Magazine.
