K.D. has been into music forever but has been on the mic since 2000. Born and raised in Kansas City Missouri, K.D. grew up with musical influences like No Limit, Cash Money, and other commercial artists. Later, he felt the commercial rap was too fake for him so he started to listen to underground gangsta rappers like Chop it up Clicc, Messy Marv, Killa Tay etc. He Got into music with that style of music. Now that everything is shoot em up bang bang in the kansas city music scene he was tired of listening to the same thing over and over on different albums, so he had to switch it up. Now K.D. is a mixture of Commercial and gangsta rap he calls it "swagged out hood music." he's is 10 steps ahead of the rap game and he decided to be a punchline rapper..on top of platinum beats the job gets done...starting in 2002, 5 solo albums 2 group projects he is on top of his game
