Bio
South Side Mafia consists of three extremely talented young men Pierre Montague (P89), Amed Hunter (Merch) and Antwyon Hill (Buck 50) have been best friends since childhood. Growing up in the Chavis Heights housing project in Raleigh, N.C. they are well acquainted with the harsh realities of life. The way has not been easy for them but music has been their saving grace. They can remember many days of watching their families struggle to make ends meet but instead of becoming bitter and products of their environment those experiences have made them stronger men with focus and determination. While many of their peers were joining gangs, selling drugs or addicted to drugs they were writing lyrics and rhyming for anyone who would listen with hopes and dreams that one day the whole world would be their audience. Growing up in the projects has certainly given them many topics to write about but the one that stands out above the rest is the day they witnessed the murder of their close friend Jamal Jeffries (a.k.a. “Dunn Deal”). From that day on they made a pact to always have each others back and to do everything in their power to make it in the music industry. In the late 90’s they became very serious about their passion and began recording their own music and performing at local venues and competitions. With many years of developing their sound and more work to do they feel they are now ready for the next level.
