Originally formed by 3 members: Rui Martins Drums, Ricardo Santos Guitar & Luís Marques Keyboards, The Twilight Void were born in Portugal on September 1995 with the name of Lysergic Sounds of Dawn, having as basic ground the psychedelic experimentalism in a electro acoustic sense, based on the improvisation and conception of weary unorthodox musical structures. In February 1996 they give their debut performance at the António Arroio Art School, followed by another concert in 1997 at the Marquês Rock Club in Lisbon now bearing the name of Twilight Void, and in 1998 they meet the final of the 4th Festival of Modern Music of Loures with a different approach of conceptual music that as revealed to be the following path since. On 1999, after a short passage of a 4th element (Miguel Oliveira - Bass) the band cessed the activity because of the lack of common goals, only to leave behind a handful of performances and the 1999 Blue Sun demo with the songs: Lysergic and Blue Sun. In 2000 the drummer Rui Martins resumes the project with the help of his former band member: Ricardo Santos, now in a different format with the objective of recording a set of versions of the material, which defined their former faze, and naming it "Hiroshima". The experience led inevitably to the composition of new material that became the main priority. The project is now more electronic but still with different approaches, which includes: ethnic, heavy, and experimental sounds, more matured, fruit of previous aspirations. In 2002 The Twilight Void check in several host sites for independent artists where some of the remakes of the old faze in "Hiroshima" as well as the 2003 Equinox from could be heard. Afterwars there was a period of inactivity until December 2005 when they feature the Kid Antrim Compilation for distribution purposes to radio stations and record labels in the U.S. In April 2006 beguins the recording of "Tornado", a package of heavy electronica and the follow up of Equinox, as well as "Dub Sky", an unprobable Dub/Regae/Chill Out project in wich Ricardo Santos is the lead vocal.
