Addalesson was born Kevin Graham, in Smithfield North Carolina to a single mother and an older brother. He spent his early childhood in Benson, North Carolina in a housing complex known to the locals as Sorrow. As a youngster growin' up in the eighties he was exposed to all the harsh realities of poverty in his community and saw how addictions had overwhelmed most of his family. His mother managed to break the cycle and finish up her degree in spite of being a mother of two with little support from there fathers. She later on got married and uprooted the family to Goldsboro, North Carolina. Her husband had 7 kids of his own, and they later had 2 more. Addalesson notes growing up with so many siblings made him family orientated and believes that to be the reason he's such a proud father and Husband. He followed Hip-Hop since it's origin and was inspired by the "Golden Era" siting MC's like Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Slick Rick, Dougie Fresh, The X Clan, and Public Enemy as his early influences. In high school he began to hone his own skills on the mic and was known around his neighborhood as a dope MC. It wasn't until attending college at East Carolina University that he linked up with a few other MC's and Producers; Mean Marc, E-Smitty, ManovWar, Tower T, G-Side, Mirage, and later on Em-Lo and began recording various projects. Now on the verge of releasing his debut album"The Road Less Traveled" slated for an early spring release Addalesson is poised and ready to make History! Hip_Hop since 1982, at least that's my born date! . This is that man Addalesson out of North Carolina, I'm posted up in VA at the time. I'm just tryin' to do my work for God with this music. It's like therapy every time I step in the booth. I do this for the wife, the kids, all my brothers, if you know me, you know I got a whole lot of them, as well as all my nieces and nephews, this is a family affair. Been doing this thing for going on 10 years, this is my love this is my heart. As long as I'm around it ain't dead yet!
