My name is Rita Martinez and I live in New York City, I was born in Detroit in 1990 but my family had to move to NY because of my father's job. When I started writing I started by writing poems and then one time I decided to 'extend' my poem and it turned into a song. I made a tune for it with my keybaord and I had a song in my hands. I performed it to my older sister and she was 'impressed' with my 'talents' and thought that I should write some more. So I did just that. I started writing more songs and kept on playing up tunes on my keyboard. To be honest this whole song writing thing started as something I'd just do for fun and because I generally enjoyed it, but with the persuasion of people around me I started getting more into it. I was more serious about it to the point where I was performing at family parties and at some of my friend birthday parties or just parties in general. More people started telling me to contact producers and people as such. I finally decided to with lots of support and I've been working with three amazing producers since late 2006. I have lots of material but I've yet to decide if I want to precede with an album. For now tell me what you think of my tracks.
