Bio
Dell Lydell “DELL” Kaigler was born on May 4, 1989 in Hamtramck, MI. Growing up in New Ebenezer Baptist Church’s choir; Dell took his talents and charming personality to the next level entering himself in various competitions and talent shows. On September 3, 2004 it seemed like Dell’s hard work paid off as he won Hamtramck’s City Idol Competition. Moving into high school at Hamtramck High Dell emerged himself in different activities like theater, and marching band where he mastered skills of playing the trumpet. The young artist was not satisfied; he wanted to be equipped with the tools that would make him a skilled vocalist and performer, so he decided to become a student at the Detroit High School for Fine and Performing Arts (DSA). DSA has had many well known names locally and nationally as students such as Jigsaw, Hotsauce, 21:03, Teiarra Mari, and Aaliyah. Being vocally trained by music veterans Sheila Sipes and Cheryl Valentine, Dell was ready for the next chapter of his career. April 25, 2007 Dell landed a spot on BET’s 106th and Park’s Wild N’ Out Wednesday competition where he sang his original song “I Like the Way You Move”, showing the world his dancing skills as well as his amazing voice. Unfortunately Dell did not advance to the next round, when I asked the artist what was next for him he said “This isn’t the last of Dell, everything happens for a reason, so I’m just waiting for my big break.” Currently Dell has started his freshman year at Tennessee State University where he is majoring in music, as well as working on his debut album. One thing is for sure we can expect only the best from this rising R&B artist. You can visit Dell at www.myspace.com/dell8907
