BITE (us) consist of 4 members who all heil from the Conwy area. We all went to Ysgol Bryn Elian. (Not Dave tho!) We are all looking to make it in the music industry and BITE is our secret weapon! We first formed in 2003 with Carl Gregory on lead guitar, Kane Broughton (now in Starlight Fix) on rhythm, Billy Gregory on bass and Mike Humphries on drums. We had no singer at that time and were called 'Harmonic Resonance'. We (Billy and Carl) did one gig under that name (our first ever!) and it went really well just playing cover material as an instrumental group. In 2004, Zac Rogers (vocalist) joined the band which made Harmonic Resonance complete. Shortly after Zac had joined, Kane left the band (then called Streaming Tears! - we went through a load of band names at that time!) After Kane left, we just had Carl and Billy to fill in all the music that Kane wasn't playing and we thought as a band, it sounded a lot better. We went from strengh to strength as a band (then called Swoop!) Suddenly, for no reason at all, Mike decided to quit (for the first time) so we were really screwed! At that point, we all lost interest in 'Swoop' and never really bothered again, until we were offered a gig and to cut a long story short, we got Mike to rejoin the newly formed 'BITE'. This time there was no messing around, we worked hard, we played hard and really improved, we recorded some of our own material which, if you have been here before, you would have heard some of our first recordings. Then, at the end of 2005, Mike suddenly quit (again) and joined 'Starlight Fix'. We tried out a few drummers to replace him including, our friends, Jake Hold and Oliver Leach. It was hard work trying to find a drummer that could match, never mind surpress Mikes ability until, one day, Zac and Carl stumbled along a lad called 'Tom' in Bryn Elian. We had Tom jam with us and from the word Go, we knew he was the right one for us. He just about blew Mike out of the water in every department and really surprised us. His playing, skill and ablility to take a song to 'the next level' is amazing and we immediately asked him to join. We did quite a few gigs with Tom and recorded a few tracks too. Tom soon became unreliable however so it was time to find a new member. And find one we did! His name is Dave Majorice and his hair is like no other! He is an amazing drummer and has brought a new style to Bite. You will seee and hear this at our current gigs... Over the last few months, we have been writing new material (viewable in the 'Music' section of the site) which is just amazing from our point of view. Compared to our previous material, it has a lot more of everything and is alot more meaningful.
