R&B/ soul singer-songwriter Kim de grew up & was raised in South West London. Her love for singing sprung from her love for music. Writing and singing her own songs at the age of eight she has developed her skills enormously and at a young age of seventeen she has acquired the vocals of someone double her age. At twelve years of age Kim de had made the decision to make singing a profession. The decision was made easier when she was asked to perform at an elderly peoples party where she sang “amazing grace” in which the audience gave her a reaction she will always cherish & it was at that point she knew singing was her true calling. At first all Kim de had was paper, a pen, a tape recorder & a whole lot of talent & hope. Kim de studied the greatest R&B and soul singers of her time and through the ages, to develop a unique voice with a quality reaching out to all ages and genres of music. At the age of fifteen Kim de had come into contact with various producers from different parts of London to develop the tracks she had in mind. She used these moments as opportunity to grow as an artist. Due to the diversity of producers she has also acquired an ear for different types of music. Kim de has also made house music and even delved into classical music and is also a classically trained artist. Having performed at live fashion shows & various other music showcases across the UK Kim de has realised her love for the stage and the true born entertainer within her. Kim de’s next step is to visit South Africa in June 2007 to complete her albums and develop a fan base in Africa.
