Bio
Blanches Annabell Wright (born November 15, 1984), better known by her stage name AMillion Ways, is a 23 year old music producer/songwriter/rap artist. Born in Newark, New Jersey, the daughter of Elizabeth White and Henry Wright, and is Afro-American (Black). Her family had moved to Brooklyn, NY a year after she was born to pursue a new life. At the age of five, her father died of a heart attack, leaving Blanches, her older sister Tara, and her mother. Growing up, she was always exposed to music whether it was her mother or her sister. As a young child, she became interested in writing and starting writing short stories. She would try and write rhymes but always thought she suck at it so she gave up on it and stuck to writing short stories. Around high school Blanches met this kid named Kenny who loved music and tryed to get her love music as much as he did but she wasn't feeling it. Blanches didn't get into writing rhymes until she heard her homeboy Harold spitting and she wanted to try rapping a bit. So she got into writing rhymes even what she wrote suck she kept writing. She linked back up with her homeboy Kenny and he taught her how to make beats and at first the stuff she was making sounded corny but she kept at it because practice makes perfect. They cooked up a plan to start up their own music production company (that plan is still in the making). Kenny had dreams of starting a band but Blanches didn't share his same dream. In 2006, Blanches hooked up with kid named Beloveit and they formed Brooklyn Be Killers but she did most of the recording herself so she abandoned the group and went solo the following year. Blanches went through so many name changes before she found one that would stick and reflex her as an artist. Creating an little internet buzz through myspace and soundclick cranking out song after song but through it, she would later struggle with the nature of her small fame, but for Blanches giving up is not an opinon. Blanches was often discouraged because of her being a lesbian and a female, most people telling her, "oh you'll never make it". She wouldn't let them stop her from achieving her dream. "I feel as a female rapper, I feel I have a lot to prove." - AMillion Ways.
