Bio Being born into a music oriented family, it wasn't no surprise that Red Fate would dream of a career in the music industry. Red Fate was born in Washington, DC in 1985. The name Red Fate came from a Chineese Legend. According to this myth, the gods tie an invisible red string around the ankles of men and women who are destined to be soul mates and will one day marry each other. Red Fate felt like music was her soulmate and a string ties her to it eternally. In her earlier years Red Fate would listen to her father play the trumpet throughout her home. Her mother who would sing to her as a child played a lot of soulful classics that would soon inspire her to become a singer. Her uncle “DC Scorpio”was a known hip hop go-go legend. As the years went by Red Fate's love for music grew into an obsession. At the age of 7 she started singing, songwriting, and rapping. She, her brother (Donny Traxx), and Cousin started a rap group called ATJ. Things didn't work so well with the group so they all decided to be soloist. Red Fates music inspirations consist of Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Aaliyah, TLC, R. Kelly, and Notorious B.I.G to name a few. Her first stage performance was at her 8th grade graduation at Lincoln Middle School. She was suppose to perform with the choir, but the choir bailed out. Red Fate performed solo that day and it was the first of many standing ovations she would receive. A year later she start doing cyphers and hip hop battles that would push her talents to another level. At 15 she joined her High School Choir and got the chance to perform with Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Patti Austin, James Ingram, and Jennifer Holiday. The stage had become a second home to her. That same year she picked up music production and started producing hip hop and R&B music. When Red Fate was 17 years old she became affiliated with Target Squad Records as a “in house” producer dishing out 20 beats a week. She felt like she was more than just a producer and went on a hiatus to try and find her niche. While trying to find herself as an artist, Saphyah performed at many talent contest and audition for TV shows. Though she came in 2nd a lot she kept going and pushing herself. She hooked up wither her Uncle DC Scorpio and Her Brother Donny Traxx and started a group called the FA Click, which stands for Family Affair. They did many shows together but Red Fate was still seeking a place of belonging. At 22 she started seeking management and signed to four real talent a year later. She currently entered the istandard producers battle in ATL and came in 3rd place. She is currently working on a solo project and looking to get placements for other artist projects.
