Mystyque was born on April 29, in Boston Massachusetts.. Growing up as an 80's baby, she was faced with many obstacles.. Her teenage mother was addicted to drugs and living in Dorchester specifically Columbia Point.. They both were taken care of by Mystyque's grandfather Louis Floyd (R.I.P).. She gives you a small glimspe into her childhood on the track "The Best of Times". You are drawn in from the opening line sung by Mystyque, "They were the best of times but then again, they were the worst". Then she takes you on a journey of her life as a child to an adolescent, where she talks about her biological mother, father, and grandfather. Likened to such talent as that of Lauryn Hill and Floetry, Mystyque will definitely give a new meaning to Triple threat. She writes, produces, raps, sings, dances, acts and has an eye for fashion.. Mystyque (Lil' shorty) as she called herself in 1994, formed a group "The Black Taboo", with Darrell, Jihad and Shawn. Being the only girl she was automatically the center of attention of the group. But it was her creative lyricism and impeccable flows that captivated the ears of the audience. Another thing that still sets her apart from most mcees is her abstinence from the use of profanity and the N-word. She credits Boston Latin Academy for her immense vocabulary and love of words. Mystyque will definitely send you to the dictionary if you're not up to par with her vernacular.. "I don't know anything else I'd rather do than write and perform.. besides go to heaven". Not many people can do what Mystyque does. She is a phenomenal artist who takes creativity to a whole new level. Using only her Garageband program for MacBook, she has already created and recorded several tracks ready for airplay. Mystyque is looking to do it all, and in a major way, so watch out for her. She is a breath of fresh air and a force to be reckoned.. Her first song to get attention on the radio is called "It's Nothing... Really" produced by O-Quezt. Currently, Mystyque is writing and recording what she calls "The soundtrack of her life" to be named later.[color="darkred"][/color]
