He moved to Gun Rule, Michigan at the age of five. Ken Dil discovered his love for rap at the age of eight, listening to recording artists such as N.W.A, Rakim, Nas, and Tupac. At this age, with every artist he took a liking to he would learn their album front to back. This would make his older brothers wonder how he could do it. Ken didn’t know at the time this would his calling. Ken Dil than began taking rapping seriously. At the age of fifteen he was incarcerated, but this is where he discovered his own style. Next, he would win a talent show at a boy’s training school against talent from all over Michigan. Ken took first place and that’s when he knew for sure that he loved the recognition the mic gave him. Ken has done songs with many artists around Grand Rapids. Ken’s catalogs include two compilations with Chocolate Tye (Street Movement and Feed Back). Ken Dil has worked with and has songs with Izy Dope, Shadow, and KP. Ken also has songs with the well respected Shorty Ty. Ken has performed live on stage locally and has been included in the underground magazine raps around Michigan. Ken shows his passion for rap by continuing to follow his dream to become a rap legend. He put out a respected mixed tape of his own (Perfect Timing) which featured classic hits like Cocaine and Conversations. Ken’s style consists of the streets but he can deliver a song which he writes and connects with the listener in a instant. Ken Dil’s sound is like no other, calm and mild, a slow deadly flow.
