Let’s get the introductions out of the way! I’m Kim Williams, lead vocalist and lead guitarist who’s been performing professionally since the age of 18, but I won’t tell you how long that’s been! I’ve done many different styles of music, but my favorite is good old fashioned rock and roll with some blues, alternative, and power pop thrown in for good measure. As far as guitar goes, you might hear traces of Clapton and Stevie Ray as well as Peter Frampton in my playing. Honing my lead guitar skills has been a great draw for my live performances. I hope I’m an inspiration to other young girls getting into the business. I’ve fronted many bands throughout my career and had minor success in Nashville with a country group I started with a friend called “Chantilly”. In the ‘80’s we charted 4 records on Billboards’ top 100, the 1st one called “Stumbling In” going highest peaking at 43 nationwide. I lived in Las Vegas for 13 years and that’s where I started the concept of doing the “1 girl band”. I play all my own rhythm instruments to create my own back up tracks. That’s what you hear behind me when I play to create the “live band” sound. Whether it’s going solo or working in a group, I’d like to think of myself as a musician’s musician. Of course, the love of my life are the songs that I pour myself into inside my home studio. That’s where my efforts have been lately and I’ll probably throw in a few of those tunes when I perform live. I currently live in the Dallas area where so much good talent can be found.
