We are “The Droppers” We are not your normal every day band!!!!! We will not be the music playing in the background!!!!! You will interact with us and you will have a great time!!!! We believe in our music and so will you!!!! Our music will deliver a message that you understand!!!! The Beginning: The band originated on a surfing trip to Mexico. A bunch of drunk 30 something’s in sitting around a campfire on the beach playing guitar, singing, drinking (so we obviously sounded amazing). Concocted the notion that we should start a band as soon as we got home. We came home, turned our garage into a studio, bought some drums, a bass, a guitar amp and started playing musico. . Oh how sweet we made “Sweet Home Alabama Sound” After a few months consisting of many sleepless nights and a lot of pissed of neighbors we played our first show at “The Shamrock”, a little Irish pub in Newport beach. The rest as they say, is history. The progression: The panty Droppers started out as a cover band, playing local bars and pubs way before we were ready and making the show more about making light of our lack of talent more than anything else. We found that just like NASCAR, people love to see the wrecks. Today there is one original member left in the band. That’s Joe, our lead singer; we like to refer to him as the asshole. Joe has been the driving force behind the band since its beginning. Although h e is probably the least talented member of the “Panty Droppers” he makes up for any lack of talent with his drive and hard work. It is pretty safe to say that if it weren’t for Joe this band would not exist. He is the guy that steps in the middle of every argument and reminds us all how much fun we have doing what we’re doing and that is why we are here in the first place. We are migrating away from being a cover band and have written 23 original songs and today play a full set of originals at every show. We play music that says something. We do not add lyrics that “Just make it fit”, if we can’t say what we want to say the way we want to say it then we scrap it and start over. The Band: Abe Rodriguez: Drummer Our newest member was born in New York and moved to California to get a real job while he plays in the band. Abe has been playing the drums for 15 years. He has played in Punk, Metal, Reggae, and now he plays with the Panty Droppers. Don’t let his size fool you, we like to refer to Abe as our favorite midget. He rocks the drums like it’s nobody’s business, his timing is impeccable, his rolls are mind Blowing Brett barber: Lead Guitar, Bass, Backup Vocals Brett is the prettiest one in the band. We got him from a “New Kids on the Block” cover band; he was the Joey McIntyre look alike. Don’t let that fool you though, Brett can shred on the guitar and bass like no other. Brett has also played in several bands over the years and several different types of music. Ramsey Sindaha: Lead Guitar, Bass Ramsey, Ramzilla, Dr. Shred, call him what you will but he brings it all to the table. He is a major force in the writing and developing of our new music, whether that be the lead on guitar, the bright to really bring out the chorus, or those hard to find lyrics that make it all fit together, Ramsey works tirelessly to produce the sounds we need to make it great.
