Bio
Pastense lived in California from since he was born, and grew to love the west coast. When he turned nine and a half years old, he found out that he and his family were moving to New York. When Pastense came to New York, he was introduced to hip-hop and rap music. He automatically fell in love with hip-hop rap. Even though he listened to some rap before moving, he never actually connected with it. Upon moving to New York, Pastense became more connected to rap. After some years, Pastense found himself in 7th grade, listening to rappers such as Tupac Shakur, Biggie Smalls, Eminem, 50 Cent, and others. In addition to listening to music, he started writing poetry. Soon, around half-way through the year, the poetry turned into lyrics, and Pastense tried to make a single called "Demon's Eyes. At the time, Pastense was known as "Saj." However, the track sucked; he used crappy equipment and he didn't understand the structure and proponents of hip-hop and rap. Moreover, he cared too much about what others thought of him. However, he kept writing lyrics. In eight grade, he was asked to join NI, a group which consisted of present day L.E.D. and DJ Taps. However, near the end of eight grade NI disbanded. He spent the summer listening to different music, and writing lyrics; however, he didn't do anything too serious. In the beginning of 9th grade, Pastense became dedicated to music. He started listening to music almost every minute, when he was not sleeping, eating, or in class. He listened to different people and different flows, but still didn't do anything to serious. Meanwhile, his friends L.E.D. and DJ Taps, who had formed a group called Old Scul Productions, and made many different beats, joined a group called Eclypse Entertainment. Eclypse consisted of Candyman, Triple J, and then those two. At the end of 9th grade, Pastense started writing for real; he went over to L.E.D.'s studio and recorded and wrote some stuff with Eclypse during the summer. However, in the first month of 10th grade, Pastense left working for Eclypse, since he wasn't actually in it. He wanted to form his own productions group, so he got together with JCuk to form Pastense Productions. Together, they made some beats, but they didn't have the necessary equipment to get further. After a couple of months, Pastense put a hold on Pastense Productions (although they occasionally still make some beats). Pastense talked with another kid in his grade, Langesta, and formed A Light in the Attic Entertainment, a label, which Pastense would be "signed" under. Langesta and Pastense also made DownBeat Productions, which was formed soley to make beats. Langesta created a whole studio in his Attic, using professional equipment such as M-Audio Control Interfaces, Logic Studio, Akkai Drum Machines, Mixers, and so on. Since Langesta played drums, and Pastense played the violin and used to play the piano, they made a great team with making beats. During winter break, Pastense recorded his first couple of songs on Langesta's sick beats and other instrumentals. They prepared to make and produce a couple of albums. Just recently, Pastense has had a "turning point" in his rap carreer. He changed up his flow and made his first legitimate track, with L.E.D., called "What We Need." After making that track, L.E.D. invited Pastense into Old Scul Productions, which is under Eclypse. In addition, Pastense and L.E.D. planned to make a joint album called "When There's No Angel On Your Shoulder." Now, Pastense is a rapper, belonging to A Light in the Attic Entertainment, and also part of DownBeat Productions and Old Skul Productions, with Langesta, L.E.D., and DJ Taps.
