Before I started recording, Travis Lee Rhodes born (May 1, 1988) was interest in Football. Born and raised in a well-known area called Cabrini Greens. I had to either focus on school & football or gangbang & slang drugs. Marshall Field Garden is were it all took place, growing up wit my mother, older brother, younger sister & step-father in a 3 bedroom apartment was a tight struggle. At age 13, watching my brother and his friends smoke weed, selling drugs & rap, made me want to do the same thing. Putting that football down was not hard, rapping was the hard part. I needed a story to tell, something that\'s will catch people\'s attention. So I joined a well-known gang called \"CVL\" which stands for Conservative Vice Lord. Me and guys needed some money, so we start slangin & taken. By the age of 15, I wrote my first verse. I will influence by my Big Brother and punchline artist Lloyd Banks. So I went by the rap name \"PLK\" (PunchLine Kid). Hooking up wit a childhood friend name Cord (Young Hevy), we started writing and recording over tapes. Before seeing a real studio, we start recording at a local friend homemade studio. Age 17, I was charged wit my first felony case and serve some time, getting out I thought my life was over. Kicked out of Lincoln Park High School and kicked out my mother crib made me realize I was heading in the wrong direction. But, my story had just begun. Starting wit a group and we was called the \" Cutty Boyz\" (Me, Hevy, Jimmy and SQ) things became a lil bit better for us. We was making songs almost everyday and hitting the studio every weekend. Later that year, I had made a change to my stage name. I called myself \"Yung Trap\" and \"Trap\" stand for \" Too Real And Personal\". The years went pass and the group was getting better, so we change our group name to \"G.M.C\" (Get Money Crew). Dropping our first video May 28, 2011, The song was titled \"Moscato\" from the mixtape \"Money, Power, Respect & More Money\" released July 1, 2011. Giving us our first official mixtape and creating a website for it www.getmoneycrewmusic.com . Performing at venues every other week gave us exposure to the public. Getting Money was easy but staying out of trouble was the hard part. Until dis day, I\'m still making music and videos with the Crew but, now I\'m staying focus on myself. I\'m gon always be \"G.M.C\" but for now all about Yung Trap.[i][b]
