With bass-shattering beats and hypnotic lyrics, Got That Boys invites you on a melodic journey into their everyday lives. Their mature perspective on life in a hip-hop dominated world is set to leave a definite impact on the ear drums of each and every audience member their music touches. Whether you’re by the stage, in the club or in a comfortable chair listening to the radio, Got That Boys will surely have you bopping your head to their melodies. Created in 2007, Got That Boys has already set the bar very high for local talent. The Montreal trio (comprised of Bobby Hustle, The Most and Creeps) is the first group of the year 2008 to win K103’s Street Sounds “Battle of the Tracks” for ten nights in a row. Their single “Picture me Ballin’” beat songs by other up-and-coming artists but also managed to defeat world-renown artists like 50 Cent and Lil’ Wayne on the airwaves of Khanawake’s 103.7FM and has now earned a spot on regular rotation. In addition, they have been featured on the airwaves of Montreal’s CKUT 90.3FM. Although each artist brings different flavours to the mix, the result is always pleasing. These three rappers have each gone through different struggles, come from different ethnic backgrounds and upbringings and each have a different texture to their musical style but manage to combine it all to make The Got That Boys a solid unit. They have created a bond that goes much further than the studio and a stage; they, along with all of their allies, are a family. As self-written and self-produced artists, Got That Boys prides itself on knowing that each member put his own essence into each and every song. In January 2008, the Montreal community made first contact with Got That Boys when the group delivered a “dynamic and energetic” opening number at Friction, a Montreal hip-hop talent showcase. The public responded with sheer positive comments as they chanted for a “Got That Encore” mid-way through the second act of the show. 2008 started with a bang for the Got That Boys and finished with an even bigger bang when the Got that Boys released their song “Birds Take Flight” which was a tribute to Montreal Allouettes for hosting the 96th annual Grey Cup in their home town of Montreal. “Birds Take Flight” was acknowledged as the MTL Grey Cup anthem! With a surprising amount of public support and various radio stations around the city such as “Mix96 now (Virgin radio),K103, Cinq-FM, CJAD all adding “Birds Take Flight” to their rotation. To top it all off the Got That Boys were invited by the Allouette organization to perform “Birds Take Flight” at the 96th annual Grey Cup celebration (Als Huddle Party) an event which brings together the entire CFL from east to west. Shortly following their performance the Got That Boys were interviewed not only online and radio but also on one of Montreals sport television shows Sportivi on GlobalTV where the Got That Boys shared the spot with Allouette hall of famer Peter Della Riva The group’s current project would be their very own Got That campaign leading up to the release of their debut album “Got That”. Songs with recognized artists such as Bishop and Jenna will only add to the anticipation. Not to mention the shooting of their first video which is for their first single “Get Close To Me” featuring Dru produced by the Beat Merchant set to be released summer of 2009 by their own independent label All In Ent. Despite their many projects, Got That Boys strives to maintain a positive look in eyes of their present and potential fans and supporters. With many more shows, interviews and public appearance s to come, you can’t miss them.
