Zach Ashby Was born Dec.11,1978 in Henderson Ky.Zach grew up in his grandparents house in a small town called Ashbyburg in the north eastern end of Hopkins county Kentucky.Zach loved music from a very early age he would set and listen to old lp records on his grandmothers record player. Zach would listen to artist such as the father of country music Jimmie Rodgers Hank Williams Sr., The Carter Family ,Johnny Cash and many many more.Zach was influenced alot by his uncle who lived there in the house with him who played the guitar and would sing the old country songs much like the one he listened to on lp.When Zach was very little his Granddad found a old ukalaylay and fixed it for him to play and Zach would stum on that thing until his fingers hurt. Zach started lerning how to play when he was 14 years old on his uncles lefthanded guitar so there for he has had no choice but to be a left hand guitar player him self.Zach wrote his first song at age 14.The song was called Jody Popayne which was a name he had to come up with because his own name would'nt fit in it.Zach Ashby Now lives on the Green River in Kentucky.
