Hi , I am a retired older single fellow struggling to live on a vey small amount of social security like many folks , but happy because I don't need much and have a wonderful 90 yr. old Mom . My little bit of musical effort is primarily for Mom and I have no " professional " type dreams at this age . Many years ago I attempted to sing in public and found that I was no performer and have not sung at all in many many yrs . I was recently told about that great free program Audacity and have gotten so much enjoyment from singing to my PC and then adding too much bass and too much echo !!! HA!! David Bate provided the beautiful accompaniment for The Shadow of Your Smile and wish I knew who made available the wonderful midi files for the other two songs ( I've got the World on a String and What a Difference a Day made ) so I could aknowledge them . I grew up admiring Frank Sinatra , Perry Como , Nat King Cole and that wonderful Tony Bennett . I love that release of his " Duets " CD and wished so very much I had been good enough to be one of those fortunate singers . Everybody has been so extra nice on this wonderful site and I feel so honored to be allowed to place my meager attempts before some of the public . I had about decided to remove my three songs , but found an extremely nice comment from DeeJay tonight ( 10/16/09 ) . I found this site after having joined the nice nice folks at Just Plain Folks .
