The story of Da Prospects started 15 years ago, by the native North Philly youngsters living on the same street, 7th street in Penntown, North Philadelphia.Love and passion for music has been a quest since childhood especially considering the group was around Boys II Men and other groups like Venom Squad , Ram Squad. 15 years later the group was formed with the name PTH until 2005 when it was newly formed with new artists and new management in 2007. It adopted new name and new CEO’s. Da Prospects has members that perform Hip – Hop / Gangster Rap and R&b. Most of the raps and lyrics portray a Philly style of rap and deep rooted struggles and battles in the hood, Penntown 7th st. The group’s all time producer is also a Philly native. Most of the lyrics on a lot of songs were produced by the group’s own producer, born and raised in west Philly. One of the CEO’s is from Zimbabwe. The group has new artists and has all the versatility in the game to get signed for a label, 2008 is a big year for the group as they launch their first mix tape and individual albums.
