Demo AKA Josh Hopkins started making music around his freshman year of high school. He wrote lyrics here and there at younger ages, but it started as more of a hobbie. In high school he really began using his personal emotions and experiences to influence his writing, which instantly added more passion and soul to the songs. Writing lyrics quickly became his prime method of releasing emotions. He studied the styles of Nas, Common, Tupac, Eminem, and many others to develop his own style. He started out knowing nothing about recording equipment, microphones, or where to even start looking for beats to rap to. He certainly did not have money to pay for all of this. However, he took his time researching and studying (which he continues to do today). Now, Demo feels he's shaped a solid style, which he plans to continue shaping throughout his career. He's the type of artist who's lyrics you really have to listen to. He'll typically hit you with some deep lyrics, or at least something that will make you think with his metaphorically embedded phrases.
