Waddup What's Happnin folks. She is the infamous Donnis pronounced Donn Is. Donnis the Duchess aka Denim Brown when thuggin or Protege La Boo Boo when working with her G-Unit friends is finally ready to step out onto the mainstream music scene. [indent] [/indent]Born and raised in Pittsburgh Pa she started reading and playing music at the age of 4. Her father ,a self taught musician , instilled in her morals and values that would ensure her success in the future. He wrote and produced her first song entitled "Cool" about two friends who got together to play board games. At age 6 she recorded "Cool" in her fathers home studio. [indent][/indent]Donnis is in love with music to her its the best form of communication. She plays drums, flute, and piccolo. She loves to listen to different genres from water music to jazz. She started out as an R&B artist however her experiences in the streets led her to write verses instead of ballads. She modeled for two years while in school and often performed her songs for the talent portion of pageants. Donnis graduated from American Intercontinental University in Buckhead Georgia. She has a degree in Business Administration and is currently a certified Home Inspector. Loving attention and competition she'd jump in ciphers, join contests and talent shows often coming in 1st place. Gaining the respect of her peers as a ill spitter in 1998 she became 1/9 of [b]Killa Nation[/b]. Killa Nation was an all male group with members from Braddock, Mckeesport, and Duquesne. In 1999 the group released their first album entitled [b]"We Warned You"[/b] however that was the first and last group project due to gun violence claiming the life of 3 members. Donnis has since went solo. She has a home studio where she makes beats and colabs with international artists on line. She has a production company in the works [b]Get'em Girl Productions[/b] as well as a soon to be released clothing line. She is busy in the studio with artist from New York and LA as well as various artists from PA who will be featured on her mixtapes. Protege's 1st mistape from Get'em Girl Productions entitled [b]"OIL"[/b] will be released early summer 2010. Denim has also been a part of the film industry here in Pittsburgh involved as an extra. [indent][/indent]She has been in productions starring Russel Crowe, fight movies such as Warrior, as well as music video's starring local artists. She hopes to become a member of SAG in the future. Donnis stays busy working either from home or punching the clock money is her addiction happiness her motivation. She has 2 home businesses. She is a Manager and Groups Benefit Specialist for Pre-Paid Legal and a Pure Romance Consultant. Donnis will be hitting the road soon to promote her mixtapes and projects for upcoming artist on 101theblaze.com Pittsburgh #1 Station for Hip Hop and R&B. She believes in hardwork and dedication loyalty is key. When she isnt in the booth or at the gym you can find her cooking, reading,traveling, or cuttin up with friends and family. She owns her home is happily married to an accountant they have two beautiful little girls who are no strangers to the music biz. She is determined to prove that all female rappers are not lesbians and that they can be just as fierce as the males in the industry. She aims to give new meaning to loving the skin you're in.
