The Trend is a group of three young men based in Sacramento, CA. Their music is a mixture of Southern and West Coast swag. The Trend is predominantly a rap/hip-hop group. These talented young men have the ability to write and produce their own music. They have had many successful hits on MySpace and excellent crowd turn outs at performances in and around the Sacramento area.Concepts within their music relates to the younger generation. Conversations amongst one another and friends turn into creative records which many have come to love. Music has always been a part of the group s life. Although they have not always been artist, they have always had it within them. Donavon "Doonie Baby" Bell was born August 18, 1988, in Adana, Turkey. At the age of 1, he moved to Burlington, North Carolina. Three years later, he moved to Sacramento,California. Raised by a single, air force mom, he moved around a lot throughout his life. Growing up, Doonie Baby has always listened to different genres of music. Naturally, he began writing and creating music with friends from high school in 2005. Doonie and 2 of his friends created a rap group. The rap group was short lived. Soon after the split of his group, Doonie Baby met Jermaine "Dizz" Lewis. Dizz was born November 28, 1987, in Meridian, Mississippi. He moved to Sacramento, California at the age of 1. He was raised by both parents until they split when he was 5 years old. Growing up, Dizz played sports. It wasn t until high school that he became more interested in music. Listening to different types of artists, Dizz had an ear for good music. He began writing and creating songs with Doonie Baby and other friends. Later on down the line the group met Zairyus "Showkace" Jackson, born on April 13th, 1992, Sacramento, Ca. He fitin with the group right away at the age of 15, they took him in as a younger brother. His role in the group was the producer. He is young talented producer/singer/writer/rapper. Together this group of young men make up The Trend. The group has performed at different venues around Sacramento such as Pinky s, D.M.C., Dante s Club, Boardwalk and Harlow s. Many other artists, some being big named artist, have performed at these same places as well. They have also been invited to perform at sweet 16 parties for teenagers that enjoy their music. Besides performing, they have put together numerous charity basketball games that included other artist in the Sacramento and Bay Areas. Some of the members of the Trend also help other artist by writing songs for them. The Trend will continue to write and record more music. They are very determined to be more successful in the music business and that they will be.[b][color="orange"][/color][color="blue"][/color]
