“Amber Briggs,” a fresh, young positive Pop artist coming from the streets of South Carolina. Her mission is to empower young Individual's to stay in school and deter youth from violence and drug use. There are various types of music in the streets and limited positive music influencing today’s youth. Amber Briggs is determined to bring confidence, positive awareness and a little bit of attitude to the scene. Amber Briggs is an extremely talented hip hop and pop singer that is ready to “put it down” for the M-E-T. This young diva also has a new flavor of music for the “grown and sexy,” so hold on to your seats South Carolina, it’s time for a new beginning. Amber Briggs is a 19 year old singer that comes from the streets of New Jersey. She was born December 8, 1990. Amber has a younger sister living with her mother and father in DC and an older brother stationed in Iran. Amber has been living in Gaston, SC for 4 years. Amber graduated from Keenan High School which is located in Columbia SC. Amber enjoys dancing, doing hair, hanging out with friends and singing. Amber plans are to go to college and pursue a career in the medical profession as an RN. Amber also wants to build a foundation to help mentor young troubled teens and accomplish her dream as a professional singer. Amber's most influential person in the world is her mother Ms. Marty Briggs because she is such a strong, independent woman that raised 3 beautiful children alone with her father David Young. We struggled on the way but they never gave up and made sure we all was feed had clothes on our backs, shoes on our feet and a roof over our head. Amber started singing at the age of 7, on easter Sunday's she would sing and dance around the house saying I'm going to be a star one day. Alicia Keys is one of Amber's favorite singer's of all times her music has influenced this young diva to stay strong, make changes, be all you could be and give it the best that you can. Amber Briggs first gig was in a talent show hosted by Columbia Stars Entertainment 4-16-2010.
