Bio
I started playing the Tabla when I was 4 yrs old, I also did a little bit of beat boxing which went well when combined with the Tablas. I also started playing the keyboard when I was 7 yrs old and I did a bit of self teaching during my young years of nursery and primary schooling. I went to India when I was 10 and I had music lessons for 6 weeks. It was an exciting experience that I’ll never forget and to learn by hearing and technique was the most wonderful skill to have, I still use my hearing skill and the ‘’Oral’’ technique to this day on my piano and some other instruments. My grand mother was the first to introduce me to music when she tried to show me the sitar. Unfortunately I wasn’t interested in that instrument and so my father brought me the Tabla. Which are now to this day considered as one of my favourite instruments. My influences are really from the 70-90s of RnB, Hiphop and Rap. Artists like - Biz Markie, Whitney Houston, James Brown, Eric B, Rakim, The Roots. But also Motown, artists like Smokey Robinson, Boyz 2 Men.
