Bio
You wouldn't expect such a plethora of heavy hitting, versatile beats from such an unassuming guy. As a child, San Francisco native Anthony (aka Remy) Muzac would write contemporary songs in his head and play them on the piano until high school, when he heard a few of his classmates battling rap and his musical interests took a new turn. Soon after, Remy and his late cousin Manny Q (a.k.a. Maq) started rapping and making beats on a cheap little Casio piano keyboard. Together they made enough songs to compile an album, performed in many venues (their favorites being the Cow Palace, the Octopus Lounge, and the 24th Street Fair), and even formed a production company called Remaq Productions. However, in November of 2004 Manny was tragically killed in a hit and run accident, and Remy was inspired to not only carry on his cousins legacy by aggressively pursuing his music career, but to change his professional name to Remy Remaq(pronounced "REM MACK")to carry on his cousins name as well. From that super hyphy Bay Area sound to smooth R & B grooves, Remy's emerging versatility is extremely evident in his beats. His 10 years of experience coupled with his determined spirit and drive has led him to partner with other talented Bay Area artists, such as Vallejos own M-Dash of Platinum Bound Entertainment. Together, theyve released several mixtapes as well as albums, in which Remy was able to showcase his production talents. Becoming a business partner and full-time producer for Platinum Bound and M-Dash, one of the hardest working rappers I know, has taught me that hustling is the only way to get the buzz about me out in the streets and to let people know who I am and what I am about. Remy has done beats for M-Dash, NBD, Playa Rae, Kingrich, Kobra Abysmal, Rux, Mista Cane, Tony Cash, The Trench Town Hustlas, Enasni Soprano, Higher Records, Young Moe, Stizon Skrilla, Backcourt, Sell Buddha and, was featured on the recently released album Playa Rae "Days Like This" Additionally, Remy was interviewed recently by T-Kash and Sean Kennedy on KPFA (Berkeley, CA). With his own entertainment label, Remaq Productionz, Remy is also busy with two upcoming releases and several projects which feature M-Dash and can be found in local and online music stores as well as the larger chain stores such as Best Buy. He is also working on future releases with Playa Rae. Remy also has productions on the recently released M-Dash and Kobra Abysmal presents "The Dummy Duo".
