“Singer/ Pianist: J. R. ROCKEFELLER" Currently, J. R. Rockefeller is sitting on top of the world. Firstly, he is CEO of DreamCast Entertainment. Secondly, returning back home to the Big Apple from New Jersey, he runs and operates his business at a very prestigious midtown Manhattan office located inside Rockefeller Plaza Center. His message is very clear: "The Best Revenge is Success." His upcoming single "Come In to My World," due to be released in 2007, is already driving the ladies crazy. www.myspace.com/jrrockefeller In addition, he currently has a book deal, The Daniel Diet, (a book that helps get rid of acne and weight-loss) which is scheduled for release November 16, 2007. “Who Knew" In 2000, J. R. Rockefeller took the role of Executive Producer of a movie, entitled, One Punch, which featured Evander Holyfield, Coco from SWV and Michael Grant. "I was at a Wyclef Jean's birthday party, and I was introduced to the script writer of One Punch and before I knew it, I was Executive Producer. Truth be told, I had no idea what an Executive Producer does. The title "Executive Producer" just sounded so damn good. My pocket learned very quickly though. Holifield, Michael Grant, and Coco were a real blast to work with. And even though the movie One Punch hasn't been released yet, I had the time of my life working on that project." J. R. Rockefeller actually started out acting. He presently has several motion picture projects on the table, and a DVD project, entitled, The Making of a CEO, scheduled for released November 16, 2007. The sky is the limit for this multi-talented young man. In case you were wondering, the answer is NO! J. R. Rockefeller hardly gets any sleep. J. R. Rockefeller, a self-contained singer, pianist, songwriter, arranger and producer, is taking everyone by storm with his breathtakingly beautiful ballad, The Believer, which is currently selling in Japan. He's a rare artist, who possesses a youthful energetic style of music he calls "songspirational." "If you can't feel it, don't bother singing it." He grew up singing in his local church choir in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, New York. Oblivious to his entire family, the free-spirited young "believer" secretly received private music and acting lessons, traveling enthusiastically to the uppity east side of Manhattan. He acted and sang in front of many, yet no one in his family knew. "I've always been very private. Andrew, my former limo driver's favorite words to me were ‘who are you?’ I just get a real kick out of shocking people. Never let them see you coming. Oh— and always pretend you're dumb." In short, J. R. Rockefeller seems to enjoy mastering challenging projects that people (“HATERS”) wouldn't expect him to accomplish. Tenacity, he proclaims, is the key to anyone's success. "You'd be surprise how far being tenacious can take you." J. R. Rockefeller, at the tender age of 22, started from ground up, his own multi-million dollar Real Estate Investment firm, on the 80th floor, Tower I, of the World Trade Center, New York. "You have to take chances in life." The successful and versatile entrepreneur has over 10 years experience in the work force, as a Private Investor; Executive Movie Producer; Book Publisher; Record Label and coming real soon on his plate is a "prevogative" VIP clothing line. Music, however, seems to be J.R. Rockefellers true passion. "Making money was the center of my life and I was miserable. I made a lot of money way too young. The pressure of the typical "blarney-leeches" hanging around for the free drinks, 24hr limo ride, and eating out— drove me to get even more wasted. I was really depressed and unhappy." "Music Saved My Life" J. R. Rockefeller's love for music put a stop to his self-destructive lifestyle. He admits that "I would kill 2 bottles at home before noon, immediately followed by a bottle of Veuve Cliquot in the back of the limo— just to start my day. I had three cars I hardly ever drove in exchange for drinking. I was killing my voice and my creativity was bottled up. Music saved my life in a big way. Find your passion and I guarantee you that it will save your life." "Versatility is Priceless" Nowadays it’s all about a handful of friends for this self-contained artist. "I had to get my mind right." With a double major, (Media Arts and Music) this Long Island University student has had an unbelievable passion for studying various elements of music, from classical to the ever-growing world of Hip Hop. "I grew up listening to old school Rap. It’s so funny, in my band room, we had hardcore rappers who loved Beethoven, and would play a Scott Joplin piece like it was nothing. Versatility is priceless. That's what I love so much about music— it breaks all barriers and misconceptions." "Family is everything to me now." Moreover, J. R. Rockefeller insists on mentioning the fact that he did time in prison. It is important to J. R. Rockefeller for people to see him for who he is, both past and present. He sees life in a whole different perspective now, and he learned to appreciate the priceless things in life, things that money can't buy. "Family is everything to me now." On September 11, 2001, he was serving a 2 to 6 years sentence for violation of Banking Law and Securities Fraud. "Yeah, yeah, yeah, another case of Martha Stewart. But you see, everything happens for a reason. I had time to really focus on my music. I met some real kewl katz. God works in mysterious ways. I wouldn't want to change any of my life experiences for the world. Experiences make us who we are." The rain has gone away, and the sun is truly shinning down on J. R. Rockefeller. He's living out his dreams and ambitions in a more meaningful way. His aim is to continue to give his listeners all of him through the purest quality of music that will continue to touch us. He is working nonstop to release a unique sounding out-of-this-world album. "My new album is gonna make you sing; its gonna make you get out on the dance floor; its gonna make you laugh and even cry. I'll bet the farm on it." Most Recent Interview: Why this name? Since my label is located inside Rockefeller Center/NYC, and although I'm wiser now, but in the past, I would blow some serious money partying every day, mostly on other people, and people gave me the nick name Rockefeller: hence the name J. R. Rockefeller. A better question is: Where the hell are all those free-loaders now? Do you play live? I do play live. My instrument of choice is the piano. I do love it. I always look forward to live performances. I'm sort of out of body for a moment. Yes! One of my special moment was performing @ a retirement home, a favor to my uncle. I get there, no chair for the piano, the piano was 5 feet high, and the mike was real low. I love obstacles like that. I made the best with what I had, and the performance went pretty well. Would you sign a record contract with a major label? Sure!!! DreamCast Entertainment is great. We're at a very prestigious office in mid-town manhattan. We take what we do very seriously, and we spared no expenses, so that when you win, you win big! So it would be a great marriage between us and a major label. It just makes sense. Anything else...? It's like this man: The Best Revenge is Success. I've seen over $10,000,000 in my early 20s, and haters went outta control. I tell people that I ain't got no more holes left for people to stab me in. I had to wise up. I'm at a good place right now. I'm not doing music for money. I've made money and I was miserable….I finally found something I love and I'm on top of the world right now!!! J. R. Rockefeller wants to have an open-door policy with all of his supporters.
