Bio
There comes a time in music when an artist comes along and redefines the status quo. When this happens, there are no smoke and mirrors. There's no guy waving a magic wand around. All that is presented is great raw talent. There have been many great artists who have accomplished this feat throughout history, but as of late there seems to be a damper on the music industry. Some examples of this damper in the music industry are the decline in album sales, the lack of confidence in artists by consumers, or one would even agree with poor management by major record labels. So how does one enter and achieve notable success in an industry that's on its downside? You give the industry a Preview; a glimpse of tomorrow's better days today. With a Preview you give the industry a new beginning. With a Preview you give the industry new direction. With a Preview you give a soul seeking industry hope. With a Preview you give em Rafael Rodriguez. "Nut-Nut" called by his mother, but known to the rest of the world as Preview was born out of Harlem, New York City. It was here where Preview developed that well-known "Harlem Swag". Add some of "Chi-Town's debonair styles” along with the wordplay a Harlem Renaissance wordsmith and you have Preview the rapper. Ironically Preview started out in a group of six, headed by himself of course. The group went under the name H-Team. With H-Team, through underground battling, Preview mastered his witty and unorthodox flow. These battles didn't just give Preview the opportunity to build on his emcee skills, the battles eventually led to Preview inking a deal under Universal Music Group. This was made possible by Tyrone "Tytanic" Hendricks, who's been noted for his success with working with Carl Thomas amongst others. Tyrone played an intricate part in the evolution of Preview the artist, with bringing Preview from out of the streets battling and into the studio where he learned how to create and format songs. Under Universal/Motown, Preview would go on to gain ample music industry experience; first by making cameos in music videos like O'Ryan's first single "Take it Slow" off his debut album. Later O'Ryan and Preview would work together again, but this time featuring Miri Ben Ari (The Hip Hop Violinist) on Preview's first single under Universal "I'll Give You the World." Preview's time at Universal was great for he learned a lot, but unfortunately short-lived due to changes in Universal at the executive level. Now labeled an independent artist again, Preview would continue on his path to music success, appearing on radio shows and performing in concerts. Preview would go on to be interviewed by Big Jay of Serius Satellite Radio and also by the "Queen of Talk Show Radio" Miss Wendy Williams. Preview would also work the concert scene, being an act on the "Health Jam Tour" sponsored by Power 105.1 and also headlining Amateur Night at The World Famous Apollo Theater. Understanding that the music industry is also a business prompted Preview to start his own record label. So with the help of his long-time manager A.E. "Tiny" Daniels, H.O.M.E. (High Off Music Entertainment) Music Group was founded. Now playing for the team he owns Preview would begin laying the foundation for his future empire. Preview recruited what he calls the H.O.M.E. Team, the people who make up H.O.M.E. MG starting with himself and Tiny as Co-CEOs, Ibe the super producer, La-Jic the next artist after Preview along with 700, and Taurean "Mr. Good Life" as the Marketing Director. Now armed with H.O.M.E. MG and his experience of being signed with Universal, Preview has plans of creating a new lane in the music industry. He says "I want to re-establish Hip Hop as a beacon of creativity and talent again. Yes Hip Hop is making more money than ever now, but it doesn't have to be at the expense of what Hip Hop was built on in the first place."
