Bio
About Mark Engel Mark Engel grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio playing in many different types of bands through the years, mainly in the heavy rock vain.Bands included Deus Vult, Dock Ellis, and Geezer. After aquiring a now worn out 4 track, Mark went off on a song writing journy. Recording music alone with no influece from a band situation, he was able to create music that was true to his vision, mixing heavy riffs with a touch of psychedelia. In 2001,Mark was asked by friend and former band mate, Dandy Brown (Hermano) to come out to the California desert to record on a project called Orquesta del Desierto, which consisted of members from the stoner/desert rock scene.Marks ideas and sound fit perfectly with the project which is evident on the second release,"Dos". Orquesta del Desierto toured Europe in support of the release. He also made a guest appearence on Hermano's "Dare I Say". While living in the desert, Mark continueS to write, record and play shows of his own material with friends filling out the rhythm section. More projects are currently on the horizon. www.myspace.com/markengel[b]
